Good weather together with vines vegetative cycle and perfect ripeness of grapes, augur extraordinary results: wines with a strong chromatic concentration and very aromatic.
After 2017 harvest, very limited but magnificent in terms of quality; it seems that 2018´s will be able to redeem
the quantitative results of the past year and reach or even exceed the qualitative ones.
All this, thanks to an exceptional atmospheric scenario: a summer not too hot, preceded by a rainy spring.
Annual meteorological evolution
The climatology in 2018 has been outstanding to vines vegetative cycle. After a snowy winter, spring came rainy and warm.
Summer was warm and dry, a key factor in a kinetic way, so vines could recover from previous cycle frosts.
But without any doubt, September was the most important month for ripening; due to the extreme alternation of temperatures caused by thermal jumps of almost 20ºC between day and night.
October was a great month: cold temperatures and dry days.
These particularities will contribute in order to get a 2018 vintage with a strong aromatic and chromatic concentration, and 13.5 and 14.5% alcoholic volumes
Although it is early to predict the final result, our winemaking team works to present excellent wines as the years before.
